                                                                                  Conclusion

Coming into University of Florida, I had a passion without an outlet. Throughout my experience in the Health Education and Behavior program at UF, I have found that outlet both in and out of the classroom. My academic experience has proven to be extremely fulfilling and helpful for my future career and life. Unlike most other students in my major, I chose Health Education and Behavior at the beginning of my freshman year of college. I knew that this was the path I wanted to follow even though I didn’t know what I wanted to do with it.

My specialization is Community Health Promotion which I believe encompasses my goals as a professional. I plan to work on my local, state, national and potentially international level, helping to improve healthy food access for all individuals while promoting sustainable agriculture practices. I hope that my career will encompass both education and policy as I have learned during my time at UF how equally important both are. I will use the skills I learned in my courses, organizations and internships and make a difference in this world.

I am very grateful that the HEB program allowed me to have a hands on internship for my last semester. This was crucial for determining what kind of work I want to do in the future and how I work in an office setting. I feel prepared to apply for my first career and utilize my passions for good.
